Photo Of The Week: 03.19.10

munrapoint-174

The Columbia River Gorge crests, rock outcroppings and small summit ridges continue to lure me in for a hike about once a week if not more frequently. I continue to hold Munra Point in the highest regard for best climb and overall best scenic views even though it is only 1,800ft. in elevation, compared to many of the other nearby Gorge peaks in the 3,000ft. range. The three-way ridge line, wildflowers, rocks, solitude, Gorge and Mt. Adams views all contribute to my reasoning for such a good review of this particular spot. The sunset pictured here is from halfway up the mountain along a small meadow.
