Reportage - Parsons: 06.01.09
Kicking off their first of two tours for ‘09 The Parson Red Heads played a great show last night at Sam Bonds Garage alongside tour mates, Cotton Jones. Their dates are set down the west coast from Eugene, OR to Tuscon, AZ and now until June, 7 with additional shows scattered through August. The Parson’s played a few new songs only available as vinyl or download that were extremely pleasant as is usual. When I set up my equipment for portraits I talked to the band about expressing themselves through such road trip angst as nap disruptions, driving for seven, double bookings, hydration and more … both made up and real scenarios. They were more than willing to display such emotions, but had a hard time keeping a straight face. The Parson Red Heads are easily the nicest group I have, and likely will, ever meet.
