Reportage - OK Bear: 05.11.09

Come tomorrow morning a new Jeremy Enigk will be available to the public. Enigk’s fourth solo album, OK Bear, is yet another masterpiece by this strong but soft sounding artist. The vocals remain crisp as in his second and third albums World Waits and The Missing Link, but the musical arrangement is reminiscent of both his first album Return Of The Frog Queen and previous Sunny Day Real Estate album How It Feels To Be Something On. Overall Enigk doesn’t deviate from the sounds he’s mastered in the past, but improves on what was already beautiful music. That ought to make SDRE fans happy.
